Our History
The Music City Throwdown Singer-Songwriter Competition is a local event held in hometowns across the country, designed to showcase the talents of emerging singer-songwriters. This competition provides a platform for aspiring artists to perform their original music and gain exposure and networking to Nashville's top producers and musicians. Contestants are judged on their songwriting ability, performance skills, and stage presence, offering them the opportunity to network with industry professionals and gain recognition. The competition celebrates the artistry and creativity of songwriters, helping to launch their careers and further establish relationships with music industry experts.

Meet Your Host Britton Cameron, Nashville Producer Songwriter
Britton has been a staff writer for Hamstein Music Group, Warner Chappell, Windswept Music, Crossfire 3, The SongFactory and Big Machine Music. His songs have been recorded by artists including LoneStar, Jack Ingram, Jon Pardi, Steel Magnolia, Sister Hazel, and the legendary country artist Don Williams. As a producer, songwriting and singing coach, Britton now loves sharing his experience in his studio where he has mentored and recorded over hundreds of artists.

Meet Your Local Host Artist Emma Grace Glover
Emma Grace Glover a local Singer Songwriter from Coats, NC is an up and coming artist who has been featured on 94.7 QDR and many other local radio stations. She is currently nominated for entertainer of the year and songwriter of the year through the Carolina Country Music Awards. She and Britton have been collaborating over the last few years and Britton serves as her songwriting mentor and producer.
